Henry was under the weather, so Alexia, Paul and Sandy and ich
took off to visit Frankfurt.
I'm a fan of the small butcher shop which sells sausages at a walk-up window.
The Old Town in Frankfurt....
One of my favorite stops is the Klein Markthalle, a terrific set of stands selling
fresh meats, produce, herbs, spices, seeds, plants, oils, etc.
We had "Gnocchi Mit Rucola" on the shopping list.
Apparently the French Artichokes are superior (or, at least,
more costly) to the Italians!
There are a few fish mongers in the market hall and we had
Zander on the shopping list.
Lots of nice produce.
On with the Party!
Gerald opens the magnum of 1990 Dom Perignon. This was exceptionally fine.
Even Henry recovered (miraculously) when this bottle was opened.
