Antonio had suggested a delightful restaurant in Castelvetro

Closed Wednesdays.

We started with a bottle of Manicardi Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro, a
fine bottle to wet our whistles!

A plate of Parmigiano and Salame accompanied the Lambrusco...a dynamite
combination!

The pasta was definitely soul food!

The Rabbit cooked in Balsamico was exceptional! It had a flavor
reminiscent of Asian cuisine, almost a sweet note not unlike soy sauce and
sesame oil.
We had a second bottle of Lambrusco, this one coming from a winemaker down the
road from the restaurant: Azienda Agricola Vitivinicola CORTE MANZINI.
This was an excellent wine!

Dessert was gelato topped with Balsamico! This turned out to be a
delicious combination!

The chef shows off her next batch of Rabbit....

Restaurant Owner Luisa Tagliazucchi shows off another bit of kitchen artistry.

Sure smells good, too!

On the Lambrusco trail!

Signor Manzini...Maker of very fine Lambrusco!

We drove to Milano for a dinner at the home of GiovAntonio with the Crazy
Milanese.

The antipasti.

A young sommelier, Elizabeth, opens Ubaldo's bottle of Veuve Clicquot 1995 Ros.

Champagne can be SO romantic!
Beatrice & Carlo.

Meanwhile, Monica has the right idea:
Let's eat & drink!

The ever Charming Carissima Ferrisima!

Ubaldo.

The pasta was quite good...so was the Sassi Neri!

A perfect couple...both speak a lot with their hands!

"Say no more...let's eat!"

One Crazy Californiano and a Major League Crazy Milanese!

Chef Giovanna is in red...
Carlo seems to enjoy the Araujo 1995 Eisele Vineyard Cabernet!

We don't dine together frequently enough!

The circus called "dessert."
