pasta course.
Elena Bonifer Loves Pasta!
Josef Bauer is happy we have a magnum!
In between courses, Elena Bonifer entertained the crowd with some singing and
dancing.
Chef Norbert joined her.
Eddy & Maria listened as Josef spoke about philosophy: Never have empty
wineglasses!
Norbert, with a glass-full, agrees!
A palate-cleansing rosemary sorbet!
Next we opened a Jeroboam of 1990 Isole e Olena's "Cepparello."
This has been maturing in Norbert's cellar.
Gerald filled two decanters...
Meanwhile, Chef Norbert was busy with racks of lamb.
Uli says "Now you're talking!"
Claus then breaks into song (and did he ever break that tune!).
Another masterpiece from the Auth Kitchen!
Norbert is waiting for the Schau-Spieler to start spieling again.
Uli wants to know why Josef doesn't bring home this wine once-in-a-while.
Eddy has a look, while Josef has a good schluck!
Elena tries to convince Gerald to have some cheese.
He has the wine, instead.
Elena's father says "Cheese!"
Claus is quite a character!
The Tired Chefs de Cuisine.
Dessert.
Elena says "WOW!"
Norbert opened a bottle of 1997 Sptlese Riesling from Knyphausen. Good
choice!
After all that good food, how about a digestif?
Larrios 1866?
Sounds good to me, man.
Claus sings some more.
"Come on Dad! Let's go home!! It's Spt!"
So they did.
And a good time was had by all.
I managed to wake up the next morning and catch my plane for Paris to start my
"Beaune Voyage."
