DINNERS
BEI GABY und NORBERT

It was a warm Monday night in Rodgau and time for
Champagne.
Gaby and Norbert discovered Thierry Houry's Blanc de Noirs on their recent
excursion to Champagne.
Then a nice bottle of Jamek to go with the Tafelspitz.
Then Gaby and Norbert got busier in the kitchen...
Strablegg Leitner's "wild" red wine.
Speaking of "wild..."
Dane FitzJensen in a quiet "blick."
And then dessert...
A Nice Moscato Rosa from Thomas Mayr.

The next morning we drove to the Rheingau for a bit of wine-tasting.
We then had a look in the keller.
Then off to Schloss Johannisberg for a visit...
They have a nice restaurant, so we stopped for lunch...
We then drove to Schloss Schonborn...
Dane and Alanna's Mom was due at the Frankfurt Airport
soon, so we made tracks for "FRA".
And we found her!
Back to Gaby and Norbert's where we found a little
monster...
And Sushi mit Champagne!
And then a plate of Salmon...
Von Volxem "Alte Reben" Riesling.
Sehr lecker.
And a nice "After Table"...
Norbert had picked up a bottle of Chateau Dereszla Tokaji on his recent trip
to Hungary.
This was a nice combination of flavors...

The next day...
...we were on the calendar at Schloss Wooge.
Matthias made coffee.
And Tea.
Soon it was time to shove off for Alsace.......

We returned a few days
later and had some nice parties for the wedding of
EVA BLOCK &
MATTHIAS SCHWAB
*******************************************************
On our final day in Rodgau we were hosted by the
Bonifers.
Haton Brut Champagne...a "find" from a trip to Champagne.
A seafood terrine with Siegrist's Grner Silvaner and Dr. Wehrheim's
Silvaner.
Next were two bottles of Dr. Heger's Grauburgunder ***.
Chanterelles!
The wines were, apparently, much "stronger" that
I'd thought...
Claus brought out a bottle of a Sptburgunder Ros to go with the roast.
And soon it was time to "round 'em up and move 'em out."
