OBESTER'S WHALE WATCHING/PIZZA PARTY 2004
Page 2

Jesper appears stunned when Amy had a slice of sausage
& mushroom pizza.
Not as stunned as Amy, however.

Little "bomba" slices.

Everyone is pointing the finger...

Not only is he a good winemaking, but Mario Gemello knows how to make a pizza!

Much traffic at the pizza-making table.

Paul speedily slices the ribs for a hungry crowd of whale watchers.

These ladies are wondering if Round Table needs any help.

From the frying pan and into the fire.

"I know there's a whale of a pizza in the oven, but I'm hoping to see one
out in the Pacific!"

This fellow was surprised to learn you could actually make your own pizza!
"I always thought you needed a telephone and a twenty dollar bill for
pizza" he told everyone in the room.

A few of the young babes in the crowd were amused by this information.
"What's a telephone?" one of them asked.
Meanwhile...back near the oven....

So far, so good.

Looks good.

Carmen, an Iron Chef-Pizza, shows how it's done.

Mama mia, thatsa some pizza!

Foraging at the table.

Amy can't decide between ham, salame, sausage or sausage.
She mistook the bottle of olive oil for a bottle of Irish whisky!

We had a mess of pizza!

This party wouldn't be so well organized without the kitchen crew...

Carmen and Kathleen supervise.
This annual event allows Jonathan to shorten his beard a bit.

Pizza Delivery!

Meanwhile, Doug Obester looks towards Hawaii.

Paul, meanwhile, was still in the kitchen, winging it.

Some of the local nature was winging it, too.
Somehow the kitchen crew was way ahead in the clean-up.

A few folks thought they might get a better view of the whales if they went
outside.

A few musicians took care of supplying the entertainment we'd missed from not
seeing any whales.

Marjorie was especially thrilled by this, since she used to date some of the
composers of these tunes back in the 1800s.

This fellow has cleverly placed a pizza inside the drum, allowing him to have a
snack between tunes.

Some of us had bet on when, during this tune, a snake would start to emerge from
the blue pot.
Jonathan began cutting the birthday cake, made in honor of Birthday Boy,
Jesper Thor Jensen.

Jesper gets creamed.

Moments later the cake was mostly a pleasant memory.
Paul's brother Jim began to fiddle around with the other musicians.

The coast was still clear.

So Bob had a look to the deep blue seas in search of a whale.

As usual, Mister Magoo didn't see much.
"It's kind of dark out there." he explained.
So with that and the late hour, we made tracks for home.

Marjorie took a short cut.
Many thanks to all the pizza-makers and others for a lovely Sunday afternoon!
