BAROLO VINEYARD MAPS
This map highlights Serralunga vineyards in green on the
right, with the other sites in Barolo clearly marked.
The top vineyard sites are noted.

Renato Ratti, many years ago, was a student of vineyard sites
and created the map you see below...
He purchased vineyard land in the 1960s and vinified his first vintage in
1964.
He was a student of the region of Piemonte and scoped out the top vineyard
sites. In the mid-1970s he created his famed map of the Barolo area,
citing what he felt to be the top vineyard sites.
If you visit the region, you'll likely see this map posted in wineries around
the area.
Ratti was not only a good winemaker, he was skilled at marketing.
How else could he get is name and winery brand posted all around the region?
Ratti died in 1988 and his son Pietro runs the Renato Ratti winery.
